It is essential to monitor drinking, bathing and irrigation water because waterborne pathogens constitute one of the main risks to our health. Also, within the agri-food industry (i.e. washing vegetables water) this parameter becomes critical.

Online monitoring of the total microbiological concentration forms the backbone of health risk early detection systems, vital for safeguarding beaches from pollution, for example.

Rapid responses are vital to minimize the risks. It is not feasible to determine all types of aerobic microorganisms present in the analysed water due to the great variety of them, the high economic cost and the involved analysis time. WOLA’s solution is to detect the quantity of total microorganisms that allow us to know if the analysed water is adequate or not for a specific use.
